Curatorial Masterclass

LuCAC´s FirstEver Curatorial Masterclass

We conducted our first ever Curatorial Master Class for artists, art practitioners, aspiring curators and anyone passionate about exploring the ever evolving role of curating in the art world on Thursday, 3rd August 2024.

The Master Class titled “Curating: Past Practices, Present Understandings and Possible Futures” was facilitated by Karen Monica Reini Svensson, our Board Member and Curator of Education and Public Programming at the National Museum in Oslo, Norway.

The subjects discussed ranged from historical and contemporary curatorial practices and the role of the curator in shaping art narratives to the challenges and opportunities in curating today and future directions for curatorial practice.

The occasion was a great chance for artists, art practitioners and anyone interested in the role of curating in the art world to learn from an experienced curator and to connect with other art professionals.

More master classes are in store as we are committed to providing artists and other professionals in the art space the requisite knowledge and skills to enhance contemporary art in the region and internationally.
