Conclusion of the Children´s Workshop Using Clay on Basic Skeletal Form

Children aged between 8 and 15 had a great time concluding the workshop using clay on basic skeletal form  at the Lusaka Contemporary Art Centre where they moulded clay on basic skeletal form and learned about Art in the ongoing exhibition Viable Visions

Art plays a vital role in children’s early development. Art activities develop brain capacity in early childhood, it supports the development of cognitive, social-emotional, and multi-sensory skills. As children progress into primary school, upper primary school, secondary school, and beyond, art provides opportunities for brain development, mastery, self-esteem, and creativity. The process of creating, exploring, discovering, and experimenting has great value for young children.

The Lusaka Contemporary Art Centre focuses on nurturing emerging talent by encouraging self-awareness, respect, tolerance, and critical thinking.
